Title: Higher-Ed Expansion Grant
Description: For creating and expanding Universities

DynamoJax - January 30, 2010 06:01 AM (GMT)
Under this bill, the excess allotment of 260 units in Education will be used to create a "grant fund" that will allow states to earn funds from the grant to expand currently existing universities and create new ones. The ultimate goal is to help reduce the burgeoning burden of increasing student-to-teacher ratios. The fewer students to a teacher there are, the more time a teacher can focus on each individual student. Also, this would mean more teachers will be hired, thus leading to a boom in the educational economic sector.

EDIT: This is a recurring expense.

Brilliant! Something we need to expend our absolutely absurd surplus.

Don't forget the economic benefits of large numbers of people with higher education qualifications down the line...

Agreed Cieran - great to see a government taking a responsible step towards our future.
