Citizens,

We have received intelligence that there is a higher risk of further attacks on Ostentian soil. Because of this, the Department of Law and Order has decided to increase the Threat Level. It now sits at:

4 - HIGH

This is 1 stage from the highest warning.

Stage 4 Threat Level means that additional police and security forces have been stood up, access to military bases is now restricted, and checkpoints are in place. These measures are necessary to aid in preventing further terrorist attacks.

Protecting Ostentia from threats like terrorism is a shared responsibility and everyone has an important role to play. There are a number of actions you can take to ensure your family is prepared for – and more resilient to – emergencies of all kinds.

Make a kit- Build an emergency supply kit by considering your family's unique needs, like eye glasses and prescription medications

Have a plan- Create a family plan with a designated meeting place and consider simple steps that will protect your family until you can be with them

Be informed- Learn about the types of emergencies that could take place in your community, including where you live, where you work and where your children attend school
o Learn a first aid skill such as CPR, or study up on general first aid practices. Learn about first aid classes offered by your local Red Cross office
o Subscribe to alert services. Many communities now have systems that will send instant text alerts or e-mails to let you know about local emergencies, etc. Sign up by visiting your local Office of Emergency Management web site

The Ostentian Government has established the National Security Hotline - the National Security Hotline is the single point of contact for the public to report possible signs of terrorism. It also provides information to callers on a wide range of national security matters.

Small pieces of information can help protect Ostentia from terrorism. Ostentia’s national security agencies are working hard but members of the public can help them complete the picture.

Some of the best people to spot things that are out of the ordinary in a neighbourhood or workplace are those who are there everyday. As we go about our daily lives, we can keep an eye out for anything that may seem unusual or suspicious. Whether or not something is suspicious can depend on the circumstances. Look at the situation as a whole. If it doesn’t add up, call the 24-hour National Security Hotline.

Trained operators take every call seriously and you can remain anonymous. Information is passed on to Ostentia’s police and security agencies for analysis and further investigation. Remember, every piece of information helps.

The National Security Hotline number is 1800 123 400.

NOTE: This information is not for reply by Ministers - please create a relevant discussion topic through the correct mediums.

I thought the National Security Hotline was 080 555 4000.

Maybe they changed it...
