Title: Law & Order Questions

Pokemaniac John - October 9, 2009 07:52 PM (GMT)
This is the parliamentary question time for questions to the Mister of Law & Order.

Members of the Commons may question the Minister of Law & Order on any issue relating to his department. Each member is limited to one question per week.

This House recognises Lord Wallace Buttersworth as the Minister of Law & Order, and requests that he answers all questions posed to him.

This House recognises jhgilliatt as the Shadow Minister of Law & Order, and as such grants him the right to ask six questions per week.

The government may only be asked to answer one question at a time - no new questions may be submitted until the previous one has been answered. If the government does not answer, action may be taken by the speaker of the commons.

I therefore open this session with the following question:

Will the Minister of Law & Order please tell us of his department's aims for this session of parliament?

Lord Wallace Buttersworth - October 11, 2009 05:12 AM (GMT)
The Ostentian Federal Police is a progressive and multi-faceted law enforcement organisation, taking a strong lead in the fight against 21st century crime.

By employing the core principles of prevention, deterrence, partnerships and innovation, the OFP strives to build a more secure future for Ostentia and its global partners. Counter-terrorism and national security are major business priorities, underpinned by an unprecedented focus on strategy and investment.

So too is the OFP's commitment to international relations, which drives inter-agency collaboration and enables the fight against transnational crime to be taken to its source. At a national level, the OFP continues to work successfully with the Ostentian Government and key agencies on a range of counter-terrorism, crime-fighting and capacity building initiatives.

The OFP is a truly global policing agency, committed to staying one step ahead in a rapidly evolving criminal environment.

I thank the minister for his answer and open this session to the house.
