People of Ostentia,

Following the motion of confidence passed by Parliament earlier today, I have assumed that office of Prime Minister. I will be leading a National Government, and over the next few days I shall be announcing the construction of a non-partisan cabinet, comprised of politicians from across the political spectrum. As things currently stand, the next election shall take place as scheduled, although I would advise caution on behalf of those conducting election campaigns.

Despite this though, there must be no doubt about the severity of the current situation. The sinister forces which have, in recent times, threatened our stability, our prosperity, our very way of life, are now gathering with full force. However, we are not without hope. Yes, the situation may be dark, but remember, the night is always darkest before the dawn. It is true, Ostentia would appear to be facing threats unparalleled in its existance. But that does not mean was are unprepared to face them!

So, Ostentia, my message to you is this. Be prepared. Be vigilant. Be brave.

Face the night with determination and strength, for the morning will come soon.

Never lose hope.
