Mutual Defence pact signed, security increased
There was much sighing of relief today in Exa after it was announced that the Exilian Government had signed a mutual defence pact with Ostentia. The pact was specifically sought out in order to increase security against the threat of rogue state Assym, after the Royal Navy's strength was significantly impaired after the intervention in Ostentia against an attempted coup, which as recent government reports have revealed, were likely efforts by Assym to destabilise the region and give it access to the High seas unopposed. The pact was the brainchild of HRH King Zog II, widely known for his work in foreign affairs and it is likely that more pacts are to follow, forming a de-facto alliance.
BooSat1 Launched from Exa Space Centre
Boo Labs announced today a successful launch of its latest Satellite, BooSat1 to support its newly launched FreeBoo service which has seen record uptake worldwide. The head of Boo Labs Telephony, Iosif Vissarionovich said he had high hopes for the satellite, which would bring joy and happiness to the peoples of the world, united in wonder.
Mysterious radio transmissions intercepted across Exilia
Thousands of Radio Listeners were frustrated yesterday as many frequencies used by major stations such as RegalRock and BooRadio were rendered inaudible by encrypted transmissions. Typical transmissions lasted 90 seconds on a single frequency, suggesting that this was a concerted message sending effort using multiple frequencies by some unknown power. Interference was worst on Exilia's Gold Coast to the north of the Island and furthest from the main transmitters in Exa. Efforts to dechipher the messages by amateurs and government alike have proved unsuccessful
