Man Charged Over Poison MurdersPolice yesterday formally charged a man in connection with a murder spree which has left six people dead across Valaxia, poisoned by morphine in food products. The man, understood to be a middle-aged immigrant residing in the northern suburbs of Nectaris. Police have given out no further details, only stating that they have very strong evidence to suggest a connection between this man and the murders which have been tragically seen across the State for four months now. Of note is that no new murders have taken place for several weeks now, perhaps due to the intensive scrutiny. It is reported that detectives have been staking out the man's residence for a number of weeks after reports of strange activity surfaced in late July.
Parliament Opens, Budget AnnouncedThe CCP today announced its budget for this Parliamentary term. The party has recently been facing stiff opposition in Parliament, a cross-party opposition front-bench proving particularly taxing on the new regime. The current budget bears little difference from the previous one under former PM DynamoJax, causing some to criticise current Prime Minister Sir William Buttersworth of “watering down” his policies, famed for their strong economic liberalism. In response to criticism, Buttersworth stated that it would be unreasonable to expect him to completely shrink and streamline the government in one term and that the Ostentian people should have trust in his government to continue its work. He referred to his budget as “foundations to support the country”, in reference to the currently fragile state of the economy, emerging as it is from a recession. The party has faced similar challenges, notably from Deputy Opposition Leader Commoncold0, across the spectrum of Parliamentary questions.

Over 20,000 jars were sold nationwide on Tuesday alone, breaking the former record for honey sales in one day of 17,500, set in 1988 by Mearor Honey Solutions. Similar sales were seen throughout the week, as favourable newspaper reviews and word of mouth helped spread the word across the country, and the honey across the country's toast. The current range, strawberry, apple and orange, is to be joined by a new addition of gooseberry, coming in October...
