Title: Leadership Election!
Description: Who runs the Lib Dems?
CJMiller - April 10, 2009 12:16 AM (GMT)
Vote for your choice for Leader of the Lib Dems
here.
Also, the winner gets to be moderator of the Lib Dem press office.
Cieran - April 10, 2009 01:24 AM (GMT)
Um...what? This poll has no legal power. You can't decide who is and isn't a moderator either...
Commoncold0 - April 10, 2009 08:25 AM (GMT)
Wait, you're making it a leadership election open to the public? Risky strategy...
Anyways, as Cieran says, it's not a legally binding poll. Besides, Inevitable isn't exactly known for responding well to leadership elections... :P
miniyoda008 - April 10, 2009 08:45 AM (GMT)
Also, you really should have realised that the vote was only going to go one way (and it's no the way you want)
Sir William Buttersworth - April 10, 2009 09:18 AM (GMT)
All that will happen is CJMiller will lose, then he will start a new party.
Inevitable - April 10, 2009 11:01 AM (GMT)
And then I will merge the Liberal Democrat Party into the Boo Party and all shall be good.
Lewis - April 10, 2009 05:59 PM (GMT)
CJMiller - April 10, 2009 06:30 PM (GMT)
All Inevitable will do is cross the floor back to the Boo Party, and since I will be the leader of the Lib Dems, I will get all its seats.

I somehow dont think so.

Sorry, he'll take his entire faction with him I'm afraid (though I never bother to calculate seat numbers mid-term anyway, so there's not much to worry about).
Still, if Inevitable walks back to the Boo Party, you become the sole leader of the Lib Dems again.
Sir William Buttersworth - April 10, 2009 11:32 PM (GMT)
lol, 9 for Inevitable, 3 for CJMiller. Surely you knew this would happen?
miniyoda008 - April 11, 2009 08:41 AM (GMT)
Who else did vote for CJMiller though?

I did, because I do feel bad for him having his party stolen, despite everything.
Lewis - April 11, 2009 03:24 PM (GMT)
I do agree that he gets treated rather harshly. There is a point where fun becomes offensive and feelings may be harmed, and I don't know whether we have crossed that line.
sqeak - April 11, 2009 04:36 PM (GMT)
Well he did start it.
Well, Zog started this particular thing.
CJMiller - April 11, 2009 06:49 PM (GMT)
Inevitable - April 11, 2009 08:11 PM (GMT)
*Points out that I don't want to be leader of the Lib Dems*
HRH King Zog II - April 11, 2009 08:36 PM (GMT)
*points out the Literal Democrats are an entirely distinct and seperate party*

| Lewis: You have. |
That's your opinion. I have always tried to treat you with the respect you deserve. Although you do acct rashly and immaturely I still try to see you as a human. If you feel I have crossed the line with you then you obviously cannot take criticism, as the only criticism I have given you was constructive.
Any joking I have done towards you has been the same as the joking I do towards everyone.
You cannot say that I am a bad person for anything I have said about you as you have said worse about me. I have made it clear when you act immaturely and I will not be brought into a revenge cycle with you.
If you bothered to listen to some people and realise that a person isn't defined by their politics, then you could be in a different position.
eriatarka1 - April 12, 2009 12:37 AM (GMT)
CJ: I think the only difficulty people have is with your sudden appearance and what could be inferred as an attitude of overbearing (on an unrelated side jote, I've only worked out that word through listening to Blue Jam's monologue about giving a bear a cigarette - and no, that's not their pun) and a desire to have this run under sensible if surreal diktats, rather than insane and random ideas.
I have no problem with you, and I think it is difficult having come into an environment which is largely settled as is; I understand the feeling of newcomer might have led you to a desire to imprint yourself - heck, I was there September.
The best way to deal with it is not to challenge but to question: change your punctuation from ! to ?, if you see what I mean.
And I apologise if this seems hurtful, that certainly isn't and has never been my intention.

ditto.
Sir William Buttersworth - April 13, 2009 06:51 AM (GMT)
Curious how there are more votes than active MP's.

You can vote twice - I just have, so now my votes are balanced both ways. As this is likely to lead to a flurry of votes, I suggest we just leave CJMiller to lead his own party.
