Title: Cabinet Appointments
Commoncold0 - September 16, 2008 10:03 PM (GMT)
Following the results of the election, the ODP has gone into coalition with the Fruit&Veg=Perfection Party. As such, there is a need to reorganise the cabinet - and I have decided to take this opportunity to reorganise the way government works. There will now be two levels of government minister: Secretary of State and Minister of State. Secretaries of State will sit in cabinet, answer questions in parliament and lead government departments. Ministers of State will not have the right to sit in cabinet (unless they are also Secretary of State at another department) and will be unable to use any government powers. They will also not have their own question time sessions, but they may answer relevant questions in their secretary of state's question time session unless the questioner specifically asks for the secretary of state to answer.
In this government, the positions of Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Exchequer are of Secretary of State rank while the position of Deputy Prime Minister is of Minister of State rank.

Apologies for double posting.
Also: I've not been made admin and can't let any of you in. This is tricky. I'll try my best to find a solution.

I need admin permissions. TTF is away, and I've been left in charge. Unfortunately I have no admin permissions. This leaves a problem. I'll see what I can do to swiftly rectify this.
5 minutes?
EDIT: I make it PMs o'clock for all those wanting access to the Cabinet Office.

First of all, that is an apalling pun.
Secondly, if you don't actually have admin powers, then it doesn't matter if there's an alternative to the cabinet office - the simulation still can't really work.

Actually, I shall use the announcements forum to show any differences in the ratings. I have access to the Admin Forum's guides to running this place. I fail to see anything else I am missing.
ADMIN: I'd like to announce that we have temporarily leased alternative premises for our Cabinet Meetings. (OOC: we have another forum set up somewhere, though I'm not saying where, and you won't be able to find it) Any discussions in the Cabinet Office dating from before TTF's return will be moved across by me, and will appear as a hodge-podge of posts in one. Don't worry, that's all.
