The F&V=P party aims to improve the environment by acting against the one current area where the Consumer has little to no power in making environmentally friendly choices in there lifestyle which is that of electricity providers. This policy will aim to increase the economic competitiveness of Green Electricity by tying the duty on electricity to the average output of CO2 by a provider per KWh. High levels of CO2 emmissions will incur increased duty whereas low amounts of CO2 will be rewarded with government rebates. This will encourage competition between energy providers to provide cleaner electricity to allow them to increase market share.
